Low Light Self Portrait

While I was sat at my desk in my man cave editing some photos.. yes man cave!!! I realised I had never tried a self portrait. From reading on a few sites it’s also quite a personal situation taking a self portrait as you are usually the one pointing the camera at other people, therefore criticizing each self portrait taken. To take the shot I decided that I wanted this to be a moody low light shot, then realised that the only light in the room was coming from my PC monitor …PERFECT… shadows, dark backgrounds and only myself slightly illuminated. Giving the camera a shutter speed of 1 second just to capture the right amount of light I needed, plus also setting to 10 second timer so I didnt have to hold the camera, I fired off 2 shots. One you have already seen, as its posted here and the other can be found in the Portraits category.
