			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While I was sat at my desk in my man cave editing some photos.. yes man cave!!!  I realised I had never tried a self portrait.  From reading on a few sites it&#8217;s also quite a personal situation taking a self portrait as you are usually the one pointing the camera at other people, therefore criticizing each self portrait taken.  To take the shot I decided that I wanted this to be a moody low light shot, then realised that the only light in the room was coming from my PC monitor &#8230;PERFECT&#8230; shadows, dark backgrounds and only myself slightly illuminated.  Giving the camera a shutter speed of 1 second just to capture the right amount of light I needed, plus also setting to 10 second timer so I didnt have to hold the camera, I fired off 2 shots.
